Writing became the most popular around the 18th century. It was often referred to as the "Great Age of Letter Writing.” This this when there was no way other than writing letters to talk to people far away. -

People started to write letters on paper with either a pencil or a pen. -

After the telephone there wasn't many ways you could talk to people. But in 1965 computers were made and you could use the computers to talk to people all over the world. -
Social Media
Now in 2025 we have a ton of new ways to communicate. One new way that all teens are using is called snap chat. It is an app where you can take pictures and talk to each other. This was made in 2011.
