    - Maurice Duplessis was in charge and gained more voters in his favour
    IMPACT:
    - Farms that had electricity produced more thus stimulating economic development in those regions

    CAUSE:
    - Intellectuals and artists wanted modernization as well as secularism

    IMPACT:
