Where The Wild Things Are
The book, Where The Wild Things Are, was published in 1963 and was written and illustrated by Maurice Sendak. The book was at first, banned from libraries until people realized children kept flocking to the book. After two years, the ban was lifted. In 1964 the book received the Caldecott Medal, and has been adapted into many different forms of art, including opera, motion pictures, animation, and musical pieces. Martin Luther King Jr. Was assassinated on April 4th, 1968. At 6:01 P.M he was shot by a sniper's bullet. He was standing on the balcony of his room of the Lorraine Motel. In Memphis, Tennessee. He was shot without warning by a .30 caliber sniper bullet, which went through his right cheek to his neck and stopped at his shoulder blade. He was immediately taken to a hospital and confirmed dead at 7:05 P.M. -
