While running for his fourth term Roosevelt went up against Thomas E Dewey. As Dewey's campained he brought up Roosevelt's age and the vision of an Ammendment that limited a presidents time in office. While the popular vote was nearly 50/50 Roosevelt still won in a landslide through the electoral college. -
