In 1803 Jefferson bought the Louisana purchase from the France, wich doubled America.Then he made explorers make a journey though the Louisianna purchase.

To make this journey, Jefferson hired two men to do this they were Lewis and Clark. They started in 1804 in St.Louis and traveled through the Great Plains.

Lewis and Clark found an indian tribe and the tribe gives them Sacagawea to be a guide . When it resumes they journey in to a never before seen land.

On May 26th they spotted the outline of the great mountain range.On the next few days they spotted the outline of the Rocky Mountains.

It took the party 24 days to get around the falls. The falls were just one of the obstacles.

Lewis is traveling a head of the group and he spots Shoshone Indians. He made friends with the Indians and bought horses and they also gave him a guide.

Clark and the others arrived at the indian village, they prepared to have an indian woman named sacagawea to be there transelater and guide.

A blinding snow storm struck. it was so bad that the shoshone god was even lost.

When Lewis and Clark were on the journey they looked west and several miles away they sawl the pacific ocean. they were almost done traveling through the Louisiana purchase.

The journals kept by Lewis and Clark, and several other members of their expedition were published so every body could know about there heroic adventure.

Lewis and Clark cross the Continental Divide at Gibbons Pass.

The Lewis and Clark expedition arrived safely back to St. Louis, were there journey have begun about two years ago. They have travelled 8 thousand miles.
