Bill recounted being placed out by the orphanage to a farmer who mistreated him. He is enumerated in the 1910 1920 censuses living with Ada. Ada arrived in Galesburg no laer than 30 May 1913. As early as 4 July 1919 Ada Ed Weeks are representing themselves as married. Bill enlisted 16 Feb 1920, age 17. The "orphanage period" is unlikely to have been before 1910 as he would have been young to be placed out to work. Most likely is between 1910 and 1919, either in Martinsburg or Galesburg.
