"Restrição a propagandas de bebidas álcoolicas"
Since July 15, 1996, commercials about alcoholic drinks above 13 GL were prohibited to be transmitted on both television and radio. This law is not relevant, because the most common consumed alcoholic drinks by minors (beer and wine) have the average of 5,6 GL and 12 GL, respectively. -
"Álcool para menores é proibido"
Since October 19th, 2011, it is forbidden for under age citizens to buy any type of alcoholic drinks in bars, restaurants, night clubs, bakeries and convenience stores. It is also illegal for any adult (+18) to provide or sell drinks to a minor. This law decreased drastically the percentage of students who already drank alcohol. It also practically extinguished the change for minors to buy alcohol on venders. -
"Nova Lei Seca"
Approved in January 23, 2013, this law increases the fee payed by drivers who drive under the effect of alcohol from R$957.69 to R$1,915.38. This law prevented 103 more injuries from January to December 2013 in São Paulo than in the previous year, proving that it actually works. -
"Lei 6626"
Since December 12, 2013, it is illegal to carry any type of alcoholic drink inside a car. This law will help many people, specially because, eve when sober, the driver can be affected by drunk people inside the car.
