1.1 The Beginning
I chose this date because it was when I started taking care of my own responsibilities. I began making my own decisions, like managing money and planning for my future. That made me feel like an adult because I wasn’t depending on others as much anymore. i have no family support. This shows a shift in my social and psychological age, not just my chronological age. I believe adulthood is not just about turning 18 but also about taking on responsibilities and becoming emotionally mature. -
Major Life Event
A major life event I had was moving away from home for college. It was a big change and stressful at first. From I talked to my family social and wrote in a journal emotion-focused. I also made a schedule and joined clubs problem coping These strategies helped me adjust. Based on what I read in the book section 10, this shows coping flexibility using different ways to handle stress. The coping worked well because I matched the strategy to the situation since 18 years old. -
2.3 - My current healthy lifestyle
Right now, my lifestyle is moderately healthy. I eat vegetables almost every day, but I could definitely eat more fruits. I do exercise about 3 times a week, which gives me around 80 minutes. I never smoke and I rarely drink alcohol. However, I do eat junk food sometimes and I don’t always wear sunscreen. To improve my lifestyle, I would like to add more fruits and less junk. These changes could help lower my risk for obesity, cancer, and cardiovascular disease. -
Adult Attachment Style
Based on my quiz results, it's very clear that my attachment style is anxious-preoccupied. I’m very close and emotionally attached to my loved ones, especially my family and romantic partner. I fear losing them and often feel anxious if they seem distant. I don’t care much about others outside my close circle. My internal working model is focused on staying close to the people I love, seeing them as my secure base and safe haven in life. Here's the result of my quiz below the pics. -
Fowler
Today, I think I am in the Individuative-Reflective stage of Fowler’s theory. This means I think about what I believe, instead of just accepting what I was told growing up. I want to understand life for myself. I reflect a lot and ask questions. In the future, I might move to the Conjunctive stage. That means accepting that not everything has a clear answer and being more open to different beliefs and ideas. -
Young Adult Role Transition
i am 21 now. I expect to begin working full-time after finishing school. I will have to wake up early, follow a schedule, and take care of my own bills. The typical age tends to be because most people start working after college in their early 20s. It might be stressful to adjust to a new routine and learn how to manage money and time. My advice is to stay organized and try to keep a healthy balance between work and self-care. -
My RIASEC Type
i chosen 23 years old. Based on my RIASEC test in Part 4C, my top types were Social, Investigative, and Artistic (SIA). This means I enjoy helping people, solving problems, and being creative. This matches my personality well. I like working with others, learning new things, and expressing myself. I’m interested in becoming a teacher or counselor, which fits these types. When I looked at Figure 7.2 in the book, these types match me: caring, curious, and creative. -
Age 25
I strongly believe that at age 25, my style will affect how I connect with others. I believe my lifestyle changed when I had a job and so on. This means I trust people, feel safe in close relationships, and can talk about my feelings. It helps me build strong and healthy relationships. I think this comes from having good support from family or friends growing up. If problems happen, I can stay calm and work things out. -
Older Adult Role Transition
My goal is to retire in my early 40s because I don’t want to work a 9-to-5 job long term. I already own a business and work as a content creator with 10,000 followers. I might take a backup job, but my main dream is early retirement. I want to spend more time traveling and being with family. Unlike most people who retire at 65, I started early. I’ll stay active through hobbies, volunteering, and quality time with loved ones. -
Super’s Stages
At age 40, I imagine I will be in the Maintenance stage of Super’s theory. I would be working as a teacher or counselor with years of experience.
During this stage, I would keep working hard, improving my skills, and helping others grow. I might also train younger coworkers or take on leadership roles. Super’s theory shows how careers change over time. This stage is about staying strong in your job, not just getting started. -
2.4 - Potential consequences of my lifestyle
If I turn 50 on my birthday, I might be at risk for diabetes, cancer, and heart disease due to family history and my diet. However, I stay active and don’t smoke, which helps protect me. To stay healthy, I need to eat less processed food and get checkups. -
Working Memory
At 21, I found it easy to remember 2–8 letters quickly, but struggled with 10 due to ADHD. Research showsthat working memory declines after 60, affecting daily tasks. To compensate, I plan to use lists and reminders. Healthy habits like exercise, socializing, and a good diet can help delay memory decline.
