In the colonies, it was called the French Indian War because the colonists fought with British soldiers against France the Indians who were on side of France. Because of the war, England had a massive war debt began to tax the people in the 13 colonies.

    British soldiers opened fire and killed 5 unarmed Americans in a street fight. Paul Revere made a drawing about it he called it the "Bloody Massacre"

    Part of the "Intolerable Acts" passed after the Boston Tea Party. It forced the colonists to allow British soldiers to live in unoccupied buildings, barns, and sheds, and in some cases, private homes. Extremely unpopular, particularly in New York.
