The narrator started to get scared but calm himself down and started to think it was just someone knocking on the door.
-
He begged the raven and God if he would ever be able to see his love again and the answer he got was nevermore. -
He shouted at the raven to leave and to stop hurting his heart, so the raven said nevermore. -
He question the raven if he was something evil and asked him to tell him if he would get peace and the only answer he got was nevermore. -
The narrator was reading late one night when he heard a soft tap on his door.
-
The fire was dying making ghosts on the floor, I was heartbroken thinking of my lost love.
-
He went back inside and heard another tap but this time from the window, he opened it and nothing was there.
-
He stood there in the dark and said his lost love name, Lenore and only a soft echo repeated the name to him.
-
With the window open wide a big black crow flew in and perched on the Athena statue above the door.
-
He asked the raven it's name after he complemented it and the raven replied with Nevermore. -
The raven just sat there so he said, that he has had friends that left him so the raven will leave too and the raven replied with Nevermore. -
The narrator was amazed that the raven could talk but he didn't think that the answer ment much. -
When the raven was staring into his heart he thought about his lost love and how she would never sit beside him again. -
He went to the door and started to apologize to the person behind the door but found an empty hallway.
-
The more he thought about her made him think the raven was sent by God to help him forget her and give him peace. -
He thought the raven could only repeat the words of his sad owner until all he could say was nevermore. -
The raven weirdly made him calm so he pulled out a chair and sat across from it and thought why he only said nevermore.
-
The raven never left it sat above the door with its demon-like eyes with my soul trapped in the shadow of the light.
