The battle of Lexington and Concord was the first battle that sparked in the Revolution that contained real military action. The British stormed the grounds intending to seize weapons from the colonist to prevent a rebellion but that's exactly what was caused. The colonist alarm system allowed them to suppress the threat from the British. -
This was battle consisted of 2 hours of combat and left the British casualities at a number of 1,054 while the colonist lost about 450 in comparison. When the colonies heard of this battle it helped unite all 13 of them which inspired many labours and others that you can stand up for your liberty. -
Washington had efforts to fortifiy New York City with the concern that that would be the next target for the Redcoats. In a great attempt Washington was eventually corned with 9,000 of his men and the British took the victory. -
