    Fahrenheit 451 in 9th grade

The book made me fall even more in love with reading, at first it was difficult to understand, but as the plot get going the dots started to connect. Fahrenheit 451 opened my eyes to how closely related and how well the authors dystopian world was just like the world in 2023 considering it was made in 1953 (he predicted earphones which he called "seashells").
  • The Hunger Games in 10th Grade

The Hunger Games in 10th Grade

Out of all the books I read in my free time in the hospital -and I had a LOT of free time- The Hunger Games were my favorite and just like fahrenheit 451 in the sense their both dystopian books and made me hungry to read more, but different in their environment and what they did in each book (I kind of dislike Katniss, if you ask I'll explain ).
  • Trevor Noah's Memoir in 11th Grade

Trevor Noah's Memoir in 11th Grade

an absolutely beautiful book, humorous, emotional, and meaningful all in only 300 pages. It was my first actual nonfiction book that I found interesting. The only real reason I chose the book in the first place was because Trevor Noah was a comedian so I expected the book to be a bit funny. I got that and MUCH more, the way he's able to switch from funny to meaningful is so astonishing to me, and as a person who loves his mom, this book meant even more because of the way he loves his mom too.
