Berlin Airlift
The Berlin airlift brought things to west Berlin which was separated from east berlin. West Berlin was having trouble because they didn't have access to some of the things they needed. -
Ruby Bridges
Ruby Bridges was an African American girl who got excepted into a white school. Many people didn't like her and would threaten her. Ruby had to be escorted in by police because it had gotten so bad. Then the principle wouldn't teach her and no teachers wanted to teach her until Barbra Henry came and agreed to teach her without hesitation. -
Challenger Explosion
The challenger launch had 7 crew members including Christa McAuliffe who was a teacher and was planning to teach lessons from space. Only a little over a minute after takeoff the rocket exploded. One of the rocket boosters failed causing it to explode.
