The narrator looked at ht Raven and smiled because the Raven looked so proud and serious than he asked the Raven what his name was and The raven responded with Nevermore -
The narrator was shocked that the bird could talk -
The narrator sat there for a long time thinking deeply and he thought that his love will not sit next to him anymore ever again -
The narrator was reading books late one night to forget about his love life when he heard knocking at his door. -
The sound of his curtains moving in the wind gave him a strange type of fear he never felt. -
The narrator decided to open the door instead of hiding and before he opened it door he said "Sir or Madam, please forgive me. I was nearly asleep when I heard you knocking, so softly that I wasn't sure I heard it". When he opened the door there was nothing there -
He stood there staring into the darkness of the hallway then he whispered Lenore and he heard someone repeat her name softly -
When he opened the window wide a bird flew in and went across the room to sit on a statue of athena a greek goddess -
The narrator heard tapping and went by the window to check what it was and he decided that it was the wind so he opened the window -
The raven just sat there and then the Narrator whispered something and The raven responded with Nevermore -
The narrator was startled by how quickly the raven responded and thought the raven learned the words from a sad owner and just keep repeating it -
The ravens presence made the narrator feel calm so then the narrator pulled up a chair and sat down facing the raven -
The Narrator keeps pleading to the raven and the raven just says "Nevermore" -
The Narrator thinks that the raven was sent by God and started pleading to him. -
The Narrator told the raven to leave and the raven said "Nevermore" -
The raven never left and stayed there -
