Fter the second world war, altough it was almost 100 years since slavery was abolished, segreation and discrimanation were still common. Howeever, things were beginning to happen. From 2009-2017, the US had its first African-American president, Barack Obama. In addition, Kamala Harris became the first femal Vice President in 2021. Therefore, it is tempting to think that everyone has equal rights and opputunites. There have been som improvements, for example in the number of African-American completing high school and universeity and in the number of African- American in the leading positsions in politics.
