The book fair is in school! I loved going to the book fair in elementary school, to get away from the boring classroom and look at the variety of new learning opportunities.

Although I hate reading in class, there was one book I did enjoy, Freak the Mighty.

I got my first phone in 5th grade, driving me away from reading. I would rather go on my phone than read a book, and school did not force me to read at home.

I have never enjoyed nor hated writing. The first essay I wrote was, interesting. The concept of an essay made me feel that writing was hell on earth.

School started to force me to read, and I am beginning to not just dislike reading, but hate reading. Although, for some reason, Big Nate was the one book I genuinely liked.

I hate reading. I would only read if I truly needed to read. The only reading I enjoyed was reading (trumpet) music.

Writing became more and more common in high school. Notes are taken in all classes and essays are assigned in multiple classes. Altogether, I've improved on my writing skills, and essays have turned into research and two to four hours rather than a wall in my path.

My ability to stay focused and to correctly understand the passage has greatly improved. I tolerate reading at this point in my life, however I would not read for pleasure. School forces me to read various novels and excerpts, and I enjoy anywhere from 20-50% of these works.
