After starring in Joe Swanberg's "Lol" film she continued to appear in many of his works. In 2008 personally codirected, cowrote, and coproduced a film called Nights and Weekends. -
In 2011 Greta received and award for acting from the Athena Film Festival. She got the award for her artistry as one of Hollywood's definitive screen actresses of her generation. -
After working with Joe Swanberg, Greta began to work with great directors, such as Ti West, Witt Stillman, and Woody Allen but her success and international recognition didn't greet her until she worked with Noah Baumbach in 2012 on a film titled Frances Ha. -
Greta's first big smash as a director wasn't until she worked on the indie film Lady Bird in 2017. She says that this film is semi-autobiographical which ended up landing her to be nominated for best picture, Director and original screenplay. -
In March of 2019 Greta Gerwig is introduced to Motherhood, giving birth to her first son with Noah Baumbach who they named Harold. Later down the line in 2023 Harold is given a brother but his brother's name hasn't been leaked out into the public. -
On December 20th, 2023 at The New York City Hall Greta got married to Noah Baumbach, her cowriter on their project "Barbie" which released earlier in the same year. They have been together for twelve years at the time and have birthed two boys together, now living in Manhattan. -
As for right now we do know that a film is in the works for the future for Greta. That film is currently set at being released some time next year in 2026. Greta is the director of this film, that film being Narnia: The Magicians Nephew
