The phonoautograph was invented by Édouard-Léon Scott de Martinville, in 1857, when he lives in Paris The Phonautograph used to recording waves to be visually analyzed, but then it couldn´t be reproduced. Mr.Scott discovered the phonoautograph, because he wanted to record the sound similar to how the ear does it. The phonoautograph it was a device in a cylinder of smoked paper that moved. -
2. PHONOGRAPH
The phonograph was invented by Thomas Edison, in 1877, when he lives in Menlo Park, New Jersey. At first, the Phonograph invented to designed to record telephone messages, and later adapted for other uses like recording music. Mr.Edison discovered the phonograph, primarily for the purpose of recording and reproducing sound for dictating letters and facilitating office dictation. The phonograph is an instrument that recorded and reproduced sound using a rotating cylinder. -
3. GRAMOPHONE
The Gramophone was invented by Emile Berliner, in 1887, when he lives in United State The gramophone was used to record and reproduce sound from flat discs, it was electomechanical instrument that converts needle vibration into sound. Mr. Berliner invented the gramophone, instead of continuing to record on cylinders like Edison's phonograph, to create a simpler system that was easier to mass produce. Flat discs made sound reproduction easier, allowed for mass copying, and were more compact. -
4. MAGNETOPHONE OPEN-REEL TAPE RECORDER
The Open-reel tape recorder was invented by AEG Germany company , in 1930s, using the principles of magnetic tape invented by Fritz Pfleumer in 1928. The Open-reel tape recorder was not a process of "invention " , rather it was a development and improvement of exisitng magnetic recording technology, which was a better and more flexible alternative to the wire recodring systems thar existed until then. -

The Cassette tape recorder was invented by Philips company , in 1963.
It was invented to facilitate the recording and playback of audio in compact format, especially for portable applications and dictation. It was an alternative to the vinly record, offering greater ease of storage and portability. -
6. COMPACT DISC (CD)
The CD was invented by Philips and Sony companys in colaboration, in 1979, led by Kees Schouhamer Immink of Philips and Toshitada Doi of Sony. CD idea emerged by James Russel in 1960. The idea was to create a new digital audio storage format that offered higher quality and greater durability than vinyl record. The CD revolutionized the music industry. -
7. MP3 / DIGITAL RECORDING
MP3 was invented by Karlheinz Brandenburg , in 1995, in Germany, in Fraunhofer institute.
The format was created to reduce the size of audio files without significant loss of quality, making it easier to distribute and store digital music.
