As the current state of our hometown Kozani which is a home for around 71.000 residents i believe that we can strongly support 1.000 to 5.000 refugees. These numbers are very reasonable and the refugees would not cause any problems or disturbing the daily life of our city

Kozani has a verity of places which with a little bit of renovation they can be turned into a perfect home where refugees can stay and call home. For example one of these places is Xenias. Xenias is an abandoned building located in the norther part of Kozani up in the hills. It serves no purpose at the moment so it is the perfect place for refugees to stay.

Refugees can be very helpful to the city's economy since they can open stores that play an important role in every day life providing the necessary products to the residents. These stores can be Grocery shops Cafes cleaning services etc. With this way refugees can be intergrated to our town and feel more like they are welcomed.

Our school, the 1st general high school of kozani, can help by donating money and necessary products to the refugees in need. You may wonder how is a school capable of doing things like this and the answer to that is by donating. Our school can organize large donation events raising money and asking the help of the youth in order to help the refugees in need.

With many refugees arriving to our city our lives will take a different course. We will have the opportunity to learn their life style and maybe adapt to some of their habits. This will broaden our horizons and make us have a stronger connection with these people.
