Jordan Peel was born in New York City, in Upper Westside Manhattan. Where he was raised by his parents until the age of 7.

Peele applied to Sarah Lawrence College to study Puppetry. -
Peele drops out of college after two years to pursue comedy. While in college, he perfomed in an improv group which led him to be inspired to be a full time comedian.

Peele became a member of Boom Chicago in 2002. There he met Keegan Michael-Key where they became performers for a sketch comedy show MADtv. -
Peele began writing "Get Out" during this time due to what he referred to was the "post-racial lie" during the Obama administration. -
Peele recieved his Emmy Nomination for the lyrics he wrote for "Sad Fitty Cent" on MADtv. -
