When I was diagnosed with JIA, I think that I had to realize that I did have to trust in God's plan. I had to be mature and be responsible and take my medicine and I had to talk about how I was feeling. I had to go through multiple infusions, a lot of MRI's, and a lot of blood draws, but I don't think that God would give me the challenge unless he knew that I could handle it, and I just have to remember that it is all apart of my story.

I realized that sometimes you can take relationships with people that you love for granted. Even though I was young, I comprehended that my sister wouldn't be back for a long time. Yes, obviously she would visit but it wouldn't be the same. So, I realized that I needed to be spending a lot of more time with my brother.

When Jo died, I think that everybody that had met him or that had an encounter with him realized that most people take life for granted. People realized that tomorrow isn't promised, and to cherish every moment you are here. Even though, this may seem bad to say but seeing the effect that Jo had on people, and how everyone came together to celebrate Jo's life and to support his family was actually crazy.
