Started college at University of Minnesota (post secondary) -
Earned the perseverance award as the only Cross-country runner in 10 years to receive the award for overcoming challenges and demonstrating exceptional perseverance in leadership. -
Academic journey continued, with integration of faith and learning. -

Got married, had two children several years after. -
Through both my masters program, continued professional development and extensive literacy training in Orton Gillingham and similar methods, I sought out best practice ways of meeting student needs. -
Started program at Bethel, integrating, leadership, learning and faith. -
I plan to extend leadership and service to others by continuing to develop the art of making warm connections both at work and in my personal life. -
I hope to choose a dissertation topic that relates to the areas of purpose on this Life Map. -
Using what I've learned to make a difference in the lives of others in leadership and service. -
During this Bethel degree program and after I plan to focus on using my learning and growing leadership skills to best meet the needs of students. -
Upon earning my degree I plan to intentionally reflect on this life map and vision to guide my future plans. -
Serving others with my family on a mission trip and through volunteer opportunities. -
Leading my own children to independence and (God willing) faith-filled core values. -
In retirement, I don't envision slowing down much! I want to continue to seek out opportunities to lead with a faith focus serve others. -
With additional time in retirement, I plan to seek out opportunities to serve others and use my God-given talents to make a difference. -
I hope to write or dictate a short memoir to leave with my family extending a legacy of learning and reflection.
