    The victors of the war are Nicol Bolas (who ascended), Arcades Sabboth, Palladia-Mors and Chromium, and his cousins Vaevictis Asmadi and Piru. Those who lose the war are beaten to the ground, stripped of their title, never to fly again, becoming Wurms.
    Ugin, not present for the war, shapes Tarkir.

    Fall of the Primevals

    On Dominaria, the Numena defeat the Primeval Dragons and take their powers.
    Rokin of Mitrokin is sacrificed to the dragon lords and enslaved in the Obsidian Well, but he leads a revolt to overthrow them when their magic fails after the Primevals' fall.

    Shattering of Madara

    On the Meditation Plane, Nicol Bolas kills Ugin for the first time. Nicol Bolas battles the Demonic Leviathan. The fight reduces Madara to a third of its former size and creates the first rift of the world. What remains of the leviathan come to be known as the Talon Gates.

    • Dakkon forges the Blackblade for Geyadrone Dihada, who in exchange triggers his spark. Geyadrone Dihada conquers the south of Corondor and turns the nature spirit of Khone into Sol'Kanar the Swamp King.

    Enslavement of Trine

    • Xarl turns the Serra Angel Trine into a Fallen Angel using the Horned Halo and conquers the north of Corondor, ruling for three centuries

    Blackblade–Dihada War

    • Dihada tricks a young boy from the destroyed village Carth into summoning Dakkon Blackblade and binding them to each other. Dakkon slays Dihada's minion, the Elder Piru, but Dihada absorbs her power. Dihada marks Dakkon as one of her champions but gets back his shadow. The boy from Carth and Dakkon travel to Terisiare. The boy starts the lineage of the Carthalions

    • Left by his mistress, Sol'Kanar seeks to increase his power through annual tributes over several years.[37]

    • Eskil, the adopted son of the magician Xarl, summons the angel Rahel to subdue Trine. Eskil is blinded in the final conflict but ascends as a planeswalker.[40
