An East German orphanage was used for transforming orphans into "perfectly" obedient citizens. The operation was unethically practiced by subjecting children to psychological torture, such as brainwashing, through the use of drugs. The only known graduates who were from 511 Kinderheim are Wolfgang Grimmer, Roberto, Christof Sievernich, Stephen Joos, and Johan.

Věra Černá and the twins lived at The Three Frogs, while the reading seminars were going on. The twins dressed the same to give the illusion that Věra only bore one child, but their lives are still held under Bonaparta's experiments. -

After three years of Margot Langer's disappearance, Schuwald decided to search for her by visiting Prague. Only to find out about Margot's friend, Věra Černá, and the twins. -
Franz Bonaparta decided to end the experiment by poisoning everyone who participated in the eugenics project. -
After Bonaparta poisoned everyone in the Red Rose Mansion. One of the twins, who was taken, fled to the Czechoslovakia border along with their other half. -
After General Wolf found the twins from the Czech border, they were separated into two different orphanages. Anna was sent to Orphanage 47, while Johan was sent to 511 Kinderheim. -
The twins were adopted by the Liebert couple. -
After the twins were separated, Johan was taken to 511 Kinderheim. At this point, Johan already believed himself to be a monster after the Red Rose Mansion incident. The experiences of 511 Kinderheim made him lose his humanity. Johan stayed for six years until chaos broke out, leaving the whole place to burn. -
Johan was rushed to Eisler Memorial Hospital after being shot in the head. Dr. Tenma made a hard decision to choose a nameless patient over Mayor Roedecker, who later died from a severe cerebral infarction. -

After Bonaparta leaves, Johan had been awake to shoot down both of his adoptive parents. Nina walked out her room to find out what had happened, only for her brother give her a gun to shoot him in the head. -
After the twins had escaped, Johan had poisoned the candies that were stolen by Director Udo Heinemann, Dr. Oppenheim, and Dr. Boyer. It was a twisted motive to thank Dr. Tenma for treating him and his sister after Dr. Tenma vented on the unconscious Johan. -
After the twins got adopted, the Lieberts escaped East Germany and settled in Düsseldorf. Meanwhile, Bonaparta was living in the same city as the family and decided to visit them. -

Mr. and Mrs. Liebert decided to adopt Johan by replacing their dead child's birth certificate after the child's records were burned. Johan used the couple as a cover-up while he provided them with a small house.

Johan finally meets Braun and psychologically attacks him by blaming him for intentionally shooting Joos. Johan tried to put him back to alcoholism, which led Braun to eventually fall off the building.

While Johan's been studying Children's Law, he's been volunteering to take care of local children. One of the things that Johan taught them was a game that makes them walk on the edge of buildings while closing their eyes.

When Schuwald was planning on donating his collection of books, Johan was exploring the library before its grand opening. He later stumbled on a copy of one of Bonaparta's works and the book triggered a psychological reaction from him, to the point that he fainted because of it. -

Johan manipulated Edmund Farron to pose as Schuwald's legitimate son until Johan met Schuwald's actual son, Karl Newman. Therefore, changing Johan's strategy and forcing Edmund to commit suicide. Johan helped Karl reunite with his father, which made him cement his close connection with Schuwald.
