While school was teaching me how to read the place that really pushed me to developed my reading skills was playing Pokemon Diamond. Came out a day before my 7th birthday and I had to really push myself in reading to understand the game.

"The Diary of a Wimpy Kid" was the first book series that I truly loved reading and would read for my own enjoyment. (7-8 years old)

"Ender's Game" was a book that I read on my own and then got to read again in middle school for one of my English classes. (11-13 years old)

I grew up religious which meant I was reading scriptures from a very young age all the way up to my later teen years. (4-19 years old)

I had always had a love for history but it wasn't until high school did that love and passion really come out. My AP US and AP Euro history teacher, Mr. Dickson really inspired me and motivated me to become a teacher.
