    The seawater and survival experiments at Dachau concentration camp involved victims being forced to only drink seawater or treated saltwater to test for survival methods of stranded pilots.     Nuremberg Doctors’ Trial

    At the Nuremberg Doctors’ Trial from 1946-47, 23 Nazi doctors were tried for their medical war crimes. This even was the marking of the first major legal reckoning for human experimentation—trying the doctors involved for the lives of over 7,000 victims across camps. This event led to the creation of the Nuremberg code, a set o 20 ethical principals establishing clear riles for ethical medical research involving human subjects.
