For unknown reasons, Zefia's parents vanished, essentially abandoning Zefia on his 3rd birthday. This left Zefia to live alone in their old house, trying to survive based off any handouts others could give and whatever money was left.

After nearly two years, Zefia is kicked out of his house and forced to fend for himself in the streets. Zefia learns how to pickpocket and steal in order to survive, taking some beatings here and there but slowly honing his skills.

Whilst feeding the children at the lab, a devil fruit was unintentionally sliced and given to a particular experiment baby. This would give way to an even more unique modification of the lineage factor, as the current modification was only further enhanced by the Devil Fruit, giving way to the closest thing humanity has ever seen to a truly biologically perfect being, capable of adapting and surviving through some of the harshest trials and environments even at a young age.

With a final farewell of his parents, they send a young Damian off on a rowboat with the hopes of surviving. Damian eventually makes it to Thriller Bark, where he's taken in by the Gecko Moria and the Thriller Bark Pirates. He's raised and eventually works under Perona directly, and trained by the raised Ryuma with a graded sword that is gifted to Damian once he grew proficient enough with Ryuma's training.

After years of pickpocketing and stealing, Zefia's skills have improved to an absurd level, and has begun upping his game. He starts stealing items and reselling them around, causing havoc amongst individuals but always staying silent and in the background, finally escaping the miserable street life. Any spare money he has he gives to orphans who have a similar fate, and even begins training some to steal as well and fend for themselves. Zefia swears to help those in need and teach them.

While escaping from a crowd of angry marines and civilians after being discovered after a heist with newbie thieves he's trained, Zefia climbs the mountain in Vodka Kingdom and finds the legendary Logia Devil Fruit, the Gale-Gale Fruit, that turns him into an Air Human! Using this opportunity, he ate the fruit and vanished into the sky after jumping off the mountain, making the others chasing him believe he had fallen to his death. He re-appears and causes havoc to hide the identify of others.

Two years after settling business at home and leaving on a boat, Zefia goes out onto the greater world and makes a name for himself as a great thief. He is finally recognized by the world government, with a first bounty of 7 Million Beri after stealing from one of their supply ships.

With the help of his Father, Shinji leaves his mother behind in an attempt to escape Wano. The entire thing goes off without anyone noticing, but the entire thing unfortunately ends with Shinji's father dying in the trip. Shinji is then in turn rescued by some passing Marines. After a few months traveling, he eventually settles at Baterilla, in the South Blue.

As Luci grew up, she lived as a social outcast due to her odd mutations. She mainly kept to herself and her father, feeling alienated at home. At the peak of Enel's rule over the Skypieans, Luci whilst scavenging for some food, discovers an oddly shaped fruit. Initially intending to give it a small taste test to ensure it was ripe, a new devil fruit user is born. After this, Luci's father does everything in his power to hide Luci from Enel to ensure the safety of his daughter.

After amassing quite some bounty and treasures in his adventures robbing things across islands, Zefia finally amasses such wealth that he decides to relocate to Kyuka Island for some well needed rest and time off. Zefia's bounty is now 68 Million Beri.
