The Embargo Act was Jefferson's response to the breach in foreign Neutrality; there were sailors being robbed in the europe seas which did not sit well with Jefferson. The Embargo act cut off trade with all other countries in hopes to weaken Britain's economy but it devastated the US economy.

The seminole war was a conflict between the US forces and the seminole tribe of Florida. The tribe refused to leave during the relocation of native tribes to westward lands.
