    Washington's ultimate goal was to set the new nation on the path to reason and happiness. While also as the first president, Washington knew it would come with extra things to think about or obstacles. He genuinely believed one mistake might cause the country to crumble. Washington's primary goal was to establish the presidency on firm footing, cultivate respect from citizens and observers abroad, and execute the laws with firmness. Mostly, he wanted the nation to survive.

    first president of the United States. He was elected with 69 electoral votes. He got elected by every state that participated in voting. So far no other president has won in every state like he did.

    Thanksgiving was something that was celebrated for a long time but Washington made it so there's an actual day for Thanksgiving. The proclamation was distributed to state governors, requesting that they announce and observe the day within their states. President Washington celebrated the new holiday by going to services at St. Paul's Chapel. He also donated beer and food to imprisoned debtors in the city.

    "In 1794 the Whiskey Rebellion threatened the stability of the new United States and challenged the authority of the democratically-elected federal government." So then president Washington decided to step in. "President Washington organized a militia force of 12,950 men and personally led them towards Western Pennsylvania, warning locals "not to abet, aid, or comfort the Insurgents aforesaid, as they will answer the contrary at their peril."     Washington Receives "Citizen Genet"
    France sent Washington a envoy but he was nervous to see what it was about. He thought it could possibly be that Genet wanted to enlist the U.S aid in the conflict between Britain and France. Genet came to the U.S to persuade the president to support France. As well as trying to go over the last treaty which was back from the French Revolution. The treaty talked about how the United states and France would maintain friendly relations.

    There was a heated debate or conversation between George Washington and the federalist allies as well as the house of representatives. This started over the house of representatives demanding for Washington to give Congress the Jay Treaty. Washington declined and that caused tension.
