At first, the colonists didn't mind this law, as it gave them guaranteed customers for their stuff. However, as time went on, the colonists became angry at the law as it limited their trading freedom and economy. -

The Declaratory Acts are a set of laws that state that the British Parliament is allowed to tax the colonists whenever they want, no matter what. This most likely infuriated the colonists as this furthered the claim that they didn't have a say in how they are taxed.
