    Nav. Acts

    The Nav acts was a set of rules that the English parliament put on the colonists. It made the colonists sell all raw materials o England. Even tho they might be able to find better prices elsewhere in England.
  • Molasses act

    Molasses act

    This lowered the tax on molasses. This also helped to stop people from smuggling. People used Molasses to sweeten things and as natural Suger.
  • Fort Necessity

    Fort Necessity

    Washington made his own small fort and called it Fort Necessity. Soon after setting up his own fort it came under attack by French and Native Americans Allies. Later after the combined army won the battle and forced his soldiers to surrender from defeat. The colonists still views him as a hero.
  • French and Indian war

    French and Indian war

    The British and the French both wanted the Ohio river because it was rich with resources. The French built forts to the south of the Ohio river. The French seized the Fort and called it "Fort Duquesne" The government ended up sending George Washington and his people to drive out to the French which was when they built fort necessity. times: August of 1756/ February of 1763.

    Sugar Act

    The parliament passed on the Sugar act to the colonists. This tax lowered the taxes on molasses. They thought that the idea of a lower tax was: to lower prices, encourage more people to buy, and would encourage colonists to stop smuggling.
  • Stamp Act

    Stamp Act

    In 1765 Parliament passed the Stamp act. To this happening the stamp act outraged colonists Sam Adams started burning Effigies in the streets of Boston. Colonial leaders decided to meet in NY at the stamp act Congress and draft a leader stating only colonial assemblies could only tax colonist. This happening caused people to boycott(refuse to buy British goods).

    Declaratory act parliament had the right too tax and make decision for the British colonists. They replaced the stamp act then a Declaratory act happens.
  • Townshemd Act

    Townshemd Act

    They were in external tax,This was a tax on internal goods.These acts encouraged to wear homemade fabrics.
  • Boston massacre

    Boston massacre

    The Boston massacre hurt many. It killed 5 and wounded 6. And hurt and destroyed a colony.
  • Battle of Lexington and Concord

    Battle of Lexington and Concord

    During this battle, an unknown shot was fired. When the smoke cleared at the end of the battle, 8 minutemen were dead, and no weapons were found in Lexington.
  • General Gage takes over Boston

    General Gage takes over Boston

    General Gage took over in 1774. He took over and enforced the Coercive Acts. Gage then directed troops to go to Concord and seize all ammunition and weapons.

    In response to the Boston Tea party Parliament passes these Acts. Intolerable means powerful and unbearable there were 4 of these Acts.

  • Paul Reveres Ride

    Paul Reveres Ride

    Paul Revere and William Dawes rode to Lexington spreading the news. While they rode, they warned others by yelling, The British are coming.
