It started with people throwing snowballs at the Redcoats, but it escalated quickly. The people were egging the Redcoats on, then with one wrong word, the Redcoats shot into the crowd. -

In 1774 the CC agreed to meet again if the British did not address their complaints. As the battles at Lexington and Concord in 1775 showed, the dispute between the Brit. and the Col. had worsened -

This act was passed because of the many troops that needed a place to stay. This means that soldiers could remain in vacant homes, even homes with people living there. -

A government was created for Canada and extended its territory. -

Paul Revere was on his way to Lexington to tell the colonists the the Redcoats were coming. He had got there just in time. -
The battles of Lexington and Concord
70 Minutemen were waiting for the 700 English RCs on the morning of 04-19-1775. An unknown shot was fired, and both sides engaged, when the smoke cleared, 8 Minutemen lay dead. -
Battle of Bunker Hill
George Washington's militia fought the Redcoats. -
Fort Ticonderoga
Benedict Arnold raised a 400-man Militia to seize Fort Ticonderoga in NY, near lake Champlain. -
Olive Branch Petition
The Continental Congress signed the Olive Branch Petition to assure the king that colonists wanted peace and asked to protect their rights. -
Second Continental congress
