    A series of laws that the English Parliment put on the colonist in the 1600s. It made colonist sell all raw materials to Enlgand, even thought they could get better prices elsewhere in Europe.

    Parliament placed a tax on all sugar product and this included Molasses. I would lower the price and encourage people to buy more. Also encourage colonist to stop smuggling.

    In the spring of 1754 governor of Virginia sent a militia to drive out the French. Leading this force was George Washington. After marching to Fort Duquesne Washington set up a small for of his own call Fort Necessity

    The French and Indian War started August of 1756 and ended Febuary of 1763. Beginning of the War French had captured several British forts and the Native Americans work alongside them carrying out raids on the frontier. Turning point of the war William Pitt became prime minister of the British governent. Then Pitt decided to send more trian British troops to fight in north American. He had two main goals one to open the phoi river valley two conquer French Canada.

    1764 parliament passed the sugar Act on the colonists. This new tax lowered the tax on molasses. Encourage colonists to stop smuggling and encourage people to buy more.

    In 1765 the Parliament passed the Stamp Act. A small tax on all printed materials. Examples Newspaper, Wills, playing cards, Documents.

    A fitght occurred between Bostonian and briths soldiers. You would think there would be many people dead but only 5 people lay dead and 3 were injured. One of those 5 people was an 11 year old boy named Christopher Seider. This event will soon lead to the American revolution.

    The Quartering act was a permitted the requisition of unoccupied building at first to house British troops. This leaded to soldier living next door and sometime in the colonist home.

    When the new of the boston tea party reached London king George the lll states " we must either them or totally to themselves. In response to that the Parliament passed the Coercive acts.
