F. Scott Fitzgerald was born on September 24, 1896, in St. Paul, Minnesota. -
He attended the Newman school, and then enrolled at Princeton University. He left the university and joined the U.S Army. -
He met Zelda Sayre in 1917 but she didn’t want to commit to him before she knew he could provide for her. In 1919 he got discharged from the army and moved to New York City. -
His first novel, “This side of paradise” was a success and made him incredible wealthy. -
After his big success with his novel he felt comfortable enough to ask Zelda to marry him and then having a daughter. -
In 1925, he published his now masterpiece, “The Great Gatsby”. -
In 1934, he released Tender is the night, but never matched the success of The great Gatsby. -
In 1937, Fitzgerald moved to Hollywood to write screenplays to make money so he could then leave the town again and work in what he really wanted.

He began his final novel in 1939 but never got to finish it. -
He died due to a heart attack.
