    Selena is 11 when her father forms a band with her and her siblings. They perform in different venues, like their family restaurant. They start to get attention of record labels. Her parents are so supportive and encouraging Selena has pride and this creates a good relationship with her and her peers/parents and self. If Selenas parents were not encouraging, she would have no hobbies or be in a band with her siblings. In this stage 6-11, Children start to have success in their hobbies.

The album became Selena’s first Billboard chart entry on Top Regional Mexican Albums, peaking at No. 7 that December. Selena has an identity; she has experimented different paths but knows who she wants to be. She is not confused of he she is. She is becoming successful in her career.
