Sinking of the Titanic
The sinking of the RMS Titanic was a maritime disaster that occurred on the night of 14–15 April 1912, when the British ocean liner RMS Titanic of the White Star Line, on her maiden voyage from Southampton to New York City, collided with an iceberg in the North Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Newfoundland. The collision occurred on the starboard side at 23:40 on 14 April,[3] causing the ship to sink in less than three hours, at 02:20 on 15 April. -
