    Children and women labor in the Industrial Revolution
    The children work in the factories and started working at the five or six years old during 12 to 16 hours a day. The children did health problems because of the difficult working conditions. The women worked at home and the factories, especially in textile factories, in tough conditions for long hours and receiving very little pay.

    Charles Dickens was born in 1812 in England. Dickens write stories about the harsh realities of life during the 19th century. One famous work of the Dickens is Oliver Twist. Oliver Twist is a young orphan who grows up in a workhouse. In workhouses were places where poor people were sent to live and work, but the conditions were often terrible. Oliver Twist, is a show about life in London, of the vulnerable children and the impact of poverty in London during the Industrial Revolution.

    The first world war started with the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria-Hungary on June 28, 1914. The two main alliances were the Triple Alliance (Germany, Austria-Hungary and Italy) and the Triple Entente (France, Russia and Britain). The major battles in WWI were the Battle of the Somme, the Battle of Verdun and the Battle of Gallipoli. This war finished with the Treaty of Versailles. This war caused about 10 million military deaths and 7 million civilian deaths.

    The Treaty of Versailles was signed on June 28, 1919, in the outskirts of Paris, in Versailles. The countries participated were Britain, France and the USA.

    Hitler was a dictator of Germany and the representative of the Nazi movement. He was voted by the Germany civilians, so he did not get in power by force.
