    This case established that the school must complete intermittent catheterization as it is a related service, not a medical service. A student requiring catheterization was not accommodated as the service was coded as a medical service, making it optional for her school to handle.

    This case required schools to reimburse parents for students who have inappropriate IEP plans that require the parents to place their children in private school. This arose from the Panico family disagreeing with the prescribed IEP of their son's public school resulting in him being placed in a private school.
