In 3rd grade, I turned in my first typed paper. I was the only person in the class to type their story. Prior to this, I had developed an obsession with the electronic typewriter and spent several hours playing "secretary," and honing my skills on the keyboard.

My elementary school finally gets a computer lab, and we all become addicted to playing The Oregon Trail! We're also taught how to use word processors.
