Texting became a more popular way of communicating then calling because it was easier to do rather then waiting for a phone call you could also reread all of the messages sent without having to remember what they said.

In the early 2000s some people could add many contacts with people receiving over 20 texts per day from multiple different people. -
Some newer released phones were iPhones, they had texting, calling, and even some games. -
Nowadays, in the 2020s texting is now frequently used with many people texting through other apps, such as snapchat, Instagram, and even TikTok. Texting is a regular thing with some people receiving over 30 texts per day. -
