However, their timing was off and he didn't arrive, but they did kill vital members in the council. The absence of these great bureaucrats would cause the situation to worsen in the council and Homosassa.

Absence of Gennifer, a tyrannic regent, and corruption among high-level members would cause bitterness and resentment among the ambitious, progressive members of the council, especially among members from colonies. The Socialites would emerge in this time period, recruiting a good portion of the council. They and their rivals would resort to violent solutions to rid of each other.

With the end of the Burkham line, cadet branches from foreign lands and different positions would start to take notice of the absence of rulership. The Charlamagnes, Rodriguezan, Louis, and Watterdale-Hafftels would take notice. Eugene Louis-Hafftel would take the first move and march towards Homosassa from their political core in St Augustine; forcing the council to accept Quagmire II Louis-Hafftel as their overseer.

Alberto Rodriguez anger from the Louis-Hafftels actions would navally invade the port authority of Arrecife from their colonial holdings in Alvarado; a naval patrol from Port Holdsteadlin would thwart their plants and deal heavy casualties to the colony's navy, forcing the Rodriguezans to stay low for now

The socialites, divergent youth guards and minor factions outside the council would do numerous attempts of ridding the Louis-Hafftels from their city; with support of the Warpmarks and St augustinian army would keep Quagmire's rule secure. In retaliation, the Socialites and their allies would be expelled from the council and faced mass executions.

At age 54, Quagmire II would die of stroke, with all his heirs dying before him. Despite the efforts of St Augustine, city militias and council would repel them out of the city with the help of the Air Fleet and divergent Warpmarks.

After the departure of the Louis-Hafftels; the conniving of the Charlamagnes and Watterdale and repolarization of the council would begin; violent attacks and political assassinations would become common place

A once-highly respected member of the council would plot a assassination against the ruling regent Marcus Halford; Martin's plot would actually succeed in his assassination and kill him off, though he would get reprimanded and executed days after. However with the death of the feared Marcus would cause instability but it also showed that regents aren't invincible and can be replaced.

Marcus's session bringer, Raffaele Mickelson Jr would be voted into regent by the ministers and his coalition of same-aligning cliques. He would rule for a mere month, passing some reforms but had little effect. He would assassinated by the Socialites due to Raffaele's allegiance to the Overseerites and his incompetence of separating the republic from the Hafftels.

From 2393 to 2443, countless regents and other rulers would take the throne and countless of them were slaughtered: over 70 regents, 3 councilmen, 4 dictators, 5 false overseers, and 3 different hafftels would try to take the throne in this time period.
