    The Constition of 1824 made Mexico a federal rebublic, dividing the power between the government, and states.

    Fredonion Republic

    Bejiman Edwards was granted land to sell, after getting there and people were there he made an issue and Mexico took his land back. This made him mad so, Edwards made his indpented rebellion and soon after was crushed by Mexico.

    Battle of Gonzalez

    Mexico goes to gonzales to get there cannon from gonzales. The Texans refused to give it back saying "come and take it". Mexico reatretes.

    General Manuel Meir y Teran went to Texas to check on the population and when he did his check Anglos outnumbered the Mexicans 10 to 1. This is what lead to the law of April 6, 1830

    Law of April 6, 1830

    After Meir y Teran did his population check Mexico passed this law.
    The law stated:
    1. Stop all immigration from the US to Texas
    2.Slaves could no longer be brought into Texas
    3.Taxes would be put on all imported goods from the US

    After John davis began enforcing immigration laws and no slaves, he confesctied William Logans slaves him and his lawyer WIlliam B. Travis were arested. This made them make resolutions on being loyal to the Constitution of 1824.

    Everything going on made Texans meet in San Felipe.
    Stephen F. Austin pledged to support the Constiuion of 1824. They made a document saying they wanted to make immigration from the US. They wanted Texas to be an independent Mexican state, and also were mad about the high taxes.

    Stephen F. Austin went to Mexico City the reseltions made in San Felipe. He didn't get to see anyone in charge so, he wrote a letter to Texas wanting to make it Indepenedent from Mexico. Santa Anna intercepts this letter and they arrest Stephen F. Austin.

    Mexico goes to Gonzales to retraive a cannon that they had given to them to protect themselves from Natives. When mexico showed up Texans gathered with a flag on the cannon saying 'Come and take it" and start to fire at the Mexican army. Mexico retraits, letting Mexico win the first battle of the revolution.

    Sanna Anna and his men go to San Antono and surround the Alamo with Texas men locked inside the Texas men were all killed within 90 mins.

    William B. Travis sent Juan Seguin to deliver a letter crying for help for the Alamo, but never surrenders.

    Battle at Coleto Creek

    Colonel James Fannin brings 300 soldeirs towards the Alamo, but we caught by the Mexican Army a Coleto Creek and surrendered.

    Goliad Massacre

    After Fannin surrendes, he and his men went back to La Bahia Mission in Goliad. Santa Anna orders for all men to be killed, and were burned.

    Battle of San Jacinto

    Sam Houston and his men trap Santa Anna's army. The Texans swarmed Santa Anna's army and managed to defeat them in 18 minutes.

    Treaty of Velasco

    After being defeted by Santa Anna at San Jacinto, Santa Anna is forced to sign a treaty, which would officially make Texas independent and make the Rio Grande as the southern border of Texas.
