    It was a failed military landing in Cuba by the US. Castro's forces ended up defeating the Cuban exiles that were trained by the US. They were sent there because the US wanted to defeat Cuba which eventually led to the Cuban Missile Crisis.

    This wall was built to separate the east and west sides of Berlin. The Germans built it to keep people from flowing freely between the two. It symbolized the Cold War for 28 years and was known as the Iron Curtain.

    It was when the Berlin Wall that divided Berlin into East and West was taken down which was a large step to the reunification of Germany and it fell amid a wave of revolutions by the people.
