    My first steps, a monumental landmark in my biological development, depict the developmental assumption of growth at every stage. As I progressed through infancy I constantly raised my capacity for communication and physical movement, this elevated level of being also brought new challenges and dangers into my life as I was exposed to entirely new environments.

    My first day of school was the beginning of the societal influences that would shape me as an individual. This is also an important event when considering my context, another one of the six assumptions, as it relates to how I developed as an individual.

    My Kawasaki's Scare

    In first grade I spent 3-4 months in the hospital due to a suspected case of Kawasaki, a biological occurrence, that would have altered the entire course of my life. Lucky for me it was a mimic virus. This event demonstrates the importance of understanding the whole person and context in terms of development. Due to the school I missed, my transition back was not pretty, It was hard for me to understand what I had missed and this time of struggle undoubtedly impacted my development.

    My First Tournament Victory

    My First Tournament Victory was a significant psychological event as it altered my mindset and outlook on the sport. I think this event depicted both continuity and change as well as active contribution to development. Following this tournament my mindset changed, I became more confident and outgoing on the course, however my personality and outside behavior stayed the same, both continuity and change were demonstrated. This event also realigned my goals, I became more committed to success.

    Moving Across Mansfield

    In 5th grade, just before the onset of Covid, my family and I moved across town. This transition was socially significant as it surrounded me with individuals around my age who would become some of my best friends and help shape who I became as a person. This is a perfect example of the importance of Diversity in terms of development. It was the unique backgrounds and experiences of these individuals that altered my personality and development.

    Hitting Puberty happens to everyone, regardless of gender or race. It is one of biggest biological stages of development that occurs in an individual's life. Furthermore, it reaffirms the idea that growth occurs at every stage as the progress through puberty allows individuals to reach greater physical levels, while also exposing them to new roles and social challenges

    My First Job

    The summer after my Sophomore year in got my first job, a job that I still have now, as a PCA. This was a major psychological development as it required me to change the way in which I thought. I had to be more responsible and consensus of my schedule and routine. This event came to perfectly exemplify continuity and change as I was forced to change my mindset, but my attitude and they way in which I carried myself remained the same.

    Best Buddies Leadership Conference

    BBLC is a end of the year conference for Best Buddies in which thousands of people come together to learn about and celebrate best buddies. My first time attending in 2024 was one of my favorite, and most impact, social experiences of my whole life. The sheer diversity of the individuals that I met taught me so much about myself, and directly influenced how I developed.

    This past summer I committed to play golf and continue my academic journey At Wesleyan University. This was a major psychological step in my development, this decision altered my future and will shaping how not only my mind, but my body, grows and changes. This decision demonstrated my active commitment to my development as a made a choice that will completely alter the course of my life and development. In addition, I feel as if all 6 assumptions could be applied in some way to this event.

    High School Graduation

    Its still hard to believe how soon this is, I will be Graduating high school at the end of this school year. The transition from high school to college will likely be the most drastic transition I have ever experienced. This lifestyle and environmental switch will undoubtedly alter my development as the diversity of people that I am exposed to and the degree to which I control my own future will be unlike anything I have experienced before.

    I will be graduating college come 2030, this will be an instrumental time in my life as I will be choosing where to go for grad school as well as establishing how I want to live my life as an almost entirely independent adult. Thereby, this will undoubtedly shape the way in which I develop throughout my 20's

    Getting my first big boy job

    After finishing school I hope to get my first real job in my selected field of study. This milestone would be a major step in both my psychological and societal development. In addition, this experience/decision would demonstrate activity contribution to my development. Also, a result of this choice would be increased exposure to diversity in my new workplace.

    At some point in my life I absolutely want to have kids. This event would probably trigger the single biggest change or shift in my life and development that has ever, or will ever, occur. This would have major biological, societal, and psychological influences, thereby completely altering my development. This event would embody alter six developmental assumptions, as it would entirely shift the course of my life.
