  • Balkan Wars

    There were two conflicts that took place in the Balkan Wars from 1912 to 1913. In the First War of the Balkans, the four Balkan states of Greece, Serbia, etc and they declared war upon the Ottoman Empire and defeated it in the process of stripping the Ottomans of their Empire and their European provinces, and only leaving them the Eastern Thrace.
  • Battle of Verdun

    This battle was the longest of the First War, and it took place on the hills north of Verdun. The German 5th Army was attacked by the defenses of the Fortified Region of Verdun.
  • The assassination of Archducke Franz

    The assassination of Archduke Franz, heir to the Austro-Hungarian Empire throne, by the Serbian national Gavrilo Princip on June 28, 1914, was immediately triggered in World War I.
  • Austria-hungary Declares War on Serbia

    This was intended as a response and triggered a chain reaction through the alliances' system, which escalated the conflict in World War I.
  • First Battle of the Marne

    The German army invaded France with the plan to win the war in 40 days by occupying Paris, to destroying the French and British armies.
  • The Gallipoli Campaign

    In the Gallipoli Campaign, there was a failed Allied attempt in the WWI to seize from the Dardanelles Strait from Ottoman Empire to open supplies for the route to Russia.
  • The Battle of the Somme and Verdun

    They were the two major and incredibly costly fights in the WWI in 1916, trench by warfare casualties.
  • Battle of the Somme

    The Somme was battling with its offensive, which was a battle of the First World War fought with the armies of the British Empire and the French Republic against the German Empire.
  • The final year sees the German Spring Offensive

    The final war was in March 1918 cause the Germans launched the offensive to win the war for themselves before the American forces could make an impact.
