  • Young Adult Role Transition – Moving Out

One big change was leaving our family's house. It meant assuming accountability, finding independence, and establishing my own place. Without my mom or sister, I had to make decisions and handle money while missing my family. Though hard, I believe I moved out about the same time most college students do. My roommate, who seemed like a sister, helped me realize that knowing when to ask for help is more important than independence in solitude.
  • Older Adult Role Transition – Retirement

Retirement marks a future change I am looking forward. For my family as well as myself, I want to retire with financial stability. It could be exciting as well as tense. I want to remain active and healthy hence I do not intend to retire at the customary age. Though I try not to obsess over it, the unknowns could be the toughest component. You cannot control the future; only the now. I will concentrate on keeping grounded, developing excellent habits, and giving my all.
