    I read my first ever diary of a wimpy kid book called " the deep end" and became obsessed with the series and read the whole series in a span of 3 months.

    I remember when my teacher gave us a creative writing assignment where we had to write our own short story. I enjoyed making up characters and giving their character a story behind their personality.

    I remember in 5th grade we had to choose a book to read for silent reading, I chose the book called "wonder" it was about how this kid named Auggie he went to this school and people weren't ready to accept him based on how his face was different from other kids. This book is still my favorite, and had a huge impact on me as a 5th grader.

    I remember picking up books that felt much longer and heavier than the others. I remember staying up late to finish these books as I would keep telling myself "one more chapter till I go to sleep". I felt pulled into the book world. One of the books were called "The Covenant Of Water"

    In 9th grade, I had to write my first real high school essay, it felt like such a big step from middle school. I spent a long time organizing my ideas and trying to make my writing sound more mature. It was challenging, but when I finally turned it in, I felt proud because I got an A+

    In 10th grade I had to write a short story that included dialogue, figurative language and a full plot. It was the first time I really thought about writing like a real author and not just finishing an assignment but creating something with characters, emotions, and a message.
