    Common Law

    Common Law
The common law consists of legal opinions from judges describing how they make their decisions in court. You would use the common law if you are having a dispute with someone, disagree with the law. The court will decide whether what you say is reasonable based on the judges first impression of you. It has helped our society become a better place because without the judges knowing how to make specific decisions there would be confusion about which person is innocent or guilty.
