    Anti-Semitism

    Anti-Semitism happen when Jesus died, many people blamed it on the Jews but the Holocaust was the start of something extreme in showing hatred for Jews.

    World War I started with the assassination of the heir to the Austro-Hungarian Empire; Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife. On July 28, 1914, Austria-Hungary declared war on Serbia. The war ended with Germany surrendering on November 11, 1918. World War I led to the Great Depression because of the financial loss, land loss and the number of people that died.
  • Treaty of Versailles

    World War I officially ended with the Treaty of Versailles signed by the Allied Powers. The Treaty of Versailles messed up Germany. It caused their military to decrease and lose land and money. The Treaty of Versailles led to the rise of Adolf Hitler because he wanted to restore Germany to its former glory. Many People agrees with him and voted for the Nazi Party.

    Great Britain did not want to have another war because it had a lot of destruction and financial lose so they let Germany grow in power to avert war.

    German Territorial Aggression

    After the Nazi Party, Adolf Hitler used propaganda to blame the Jew for their loss in World War I and to get back the land that was lost in World War I, he took the neighboring country's land. Great Britain and France ignored Germany Aggression because they had lost a lot of many and land after World War I and they were not ready for another war.

    The United States did not want to join World War II because they did not any more of their boys to die like in World War I. They aided Great Britain and France by supplying money and weapons for the war because if they were to fall the United States would be the next target and they did not want that to happen.

    St. Louis was a ship that had mostly Jews on it and carried them from Hamburg, Germany, to Havana, Cuba. Cuba would later send the refugees off to the United States, however, the United States didn't except all of them because they were not racially desired.

    Poland had good agriculture so Adolf Hitler decided to tried to take it. However, Great Britain and France were in charge of protecting Poland and when they were attacked, Great Britain and France declared war on Germany.

  • Pearl Harbor

    Japan attacked the United States. The United States were upset and saw this as a wake up call to join World War II.
  • WW2-USA

    The United States entered World War II by declaring war on Japan.
  • Executive Order 9066

    President Roosevelt relocated Japanese-Americans after the Pearl Harbor attack because it was for their "safety". However, it was for the safety of the rest of the nation and it was fund similar to the concentration camps in Germany.
  • Atomic Bomb

    The Atomic Bomb was use by the United States to end World War II. The United States bombed two of Japan's cities. After the second bomb Japan surrender and the war ended.
  • Yalta Conference

    The Yalta Conference was a meeting between British Prime Minister Winston Churchill, President Franklin D. Roosevelt, and the Soviet Union's Premier; Joseph Stalin. They talked about the post-war fate of Germany.
  • United Nations

    United Nations Goals:
    *To keep peace throughout the world;
    *To develop friendly relations among nations;
    *To help nations work together to improve the lives of poor people, to conquer hunger, disease and illiteracy, and to encourage respect for each other’s rights and freedoms;
