Lebanon As the violence continues in Syria, many civilians crossed the border into Lebanon to get away from the explosions and gunshots from their homeland. That relief they had for a few hours was short lived. The Lebanese police rounded up the Syrian civilians and sent them back into Syria.

European Union The European imposed new sanctions to Syria, blocking any trade involving oil. That marks a huge blow considering that 92% of Syrian Oil exports go to the European Union and they're losing out to 3 billion Euro a year.
